Lost Tracks
During a summer trip, three friends in their early 20s board a train back from a day spent at the beach, only to find themselves in a scary adventure when the train mysteriously leads them to an empty station. Cut off from the outside world, they encounter a ghostly nun figure who implores them to help find her lost chaplet. As they explore the station and interact with its enigmatic inhabitants, they uncover clues about the ghost's past and the history of the station, all while interacting with the ghost's shifting humor that changes based on their choices.
Trapped in a time loop, failure means reliving the nightmare with no end. Their only hope for escaping is to solve puzzles, unravel mysteries, and ultimately satisfying the ghost's conditions to free them to the real world. The game has two charming supportive characters that each bring something to the table, Leandro is curious and loves to discover and learn new things. Rita on the other hand is very fit and strong, and take charge in the moments where there’s an action needed to be done. The two antagonists: the Nun and the Peasant lady also can help the group, but they’re mischievous and untrustworthy: thread carefully.
The game will be supported by using Gifs, animations, images, and texts - for storytelling -, that includes dialog and voice acting. It will also have some UI graphics for a better user experience throughout the gameplay/story. The main purpose is to entertain but also there’s an educational aspect, because there’s themes of preserving the heritage and history of São Bento in Portugal throughout the game.
